French company considering to investment of waste incinerating factory to generate electricity

     The Constructions Industrielles Mediterranee SA (CNIM), a France-based company, is considering to investment of a waste incinerating factory to generate electricity in Vietnam. Dong Nai province is selected for the survey, thanks to its high demand of waste treatment.

     According to CNIM, the factory will has treatment capacity of 500,000 tons waste per year and electricity generation capacity of 3MW per hour with its total investment cost of around 170 million USD.

     With a lot of experience in construction and operation of similar factories at many cities in Europe and America, CNIM affirms that this technology does not occupy area while still ensure environmental safety.

     In the present, Dong Nai province generates about 1612 tons of domestic waste per day; the industrial waste is about 1079 ton/day. Recently, a number of investors have proposed to invest waste treatment factory but only using technologies such as: composting, non-smoke incinerating, and landfill. Thus, the technology provided by CNIM are being kindly considered by the province.
